What e-Doręczenia is

It is the electronic replacement for registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt. The tax office, ZUS, courts and other authorities send official letters to this address, and they have the same legal force as paper ones.

Who it applies to

  • Every JDG in CEIDG that does not have an address yet: the last deadline was 1 October 2026.
  • Businesses registered from 1 January 2025 got an address at registration.
  • Companies in the KRS have had to have one since 2025.

How to set up the address

  • Go to the e-Doręczenia section on gov.pl and log in with profil zaufany or your bank.
  • Fill in the application: business details, PESEL, an email for notifications.
  • Choose who will administer the mailbox: you, an employee or your accountant.
  • The address appears in the address database, usually within a few days.

If you do not have profil zaufany yet, set it up first, as described in profil zaufany for foreigners.

What happens if you do not

  • The law sets no financial penalty for not having an address.
  • Any change in CEIDG, such as a new PKD code or address, will not be accepted without it.
  • Once you have an address, a letter you do not open within 14 days counts as delivered. Deadlines to respond run from that day.

So it matters not only to set up the mailbox but to check it regularly, or to let your accountant do it.
