Most problems with Polish offices come not from the law but from paperwork: the wrong document, the wrong form, a missed deadline. We put the file together, fill in the applications and handle the case with the authorities under your power of attorney.
Residence card
The application goes to the voivodeship office (Urząd Wojewódzki), and the set of documents depends on the basis: work, business, study, family. We draw up a list for your case, fill in the application and prepare the financial part.
The financial part is where we have an advantage over agencies: for a card based on a business, the voivodeship office looks at turnover, contributions and taxes paid, and certificates of no arrears with the tax office (US) and ZUS. We keep your books and prepare these documents ourselves rather than asking a third party for them.
Visa and invitation
A national visa is issued by the consulate, not by us. Our part is the file you take there: proof of the purpose of the trip, funds and accommodation, documents from the employer or from your business. We also arrange invitations for relatives: they are entered in the register at the voivodeship office.
First formalities after arrival
- A PESEL number and registration of your place of residence (meldunek).
- Profil zaufany and access to ePUAP: without them you cannot file any application online.
- A bank account and access to KSeF for those starting a business.
Hiring a foreigner: documents for the employer
If you have already found a person and want to employ them legally, we prepare the documents: oświadczenie o powierzeniu wykonywania pracy, zezwolenie na pracę, the contract. Since 1 June 2025 a new law on employing foreigners has been in force, and the start of work must be reported through praca.gov.pl within 7 days. For a breach the employer faces a fine of 3 000 to 50 000 zł.
An important boundary: we process the person you have chosen yourself. We do not recruit workers, that is the business of an employment agency with a separate registration.
Representation under a power of attorney
In administrative matters any person with full legal capacity can represent you under a power of attorney, no legal qualification is needed for that. We file and collect documents for you at the voivodeship office, ZUS, CEIDG and KRS, and answer requests from the authorities. The stamp duty on a power of attorney is 17 zł.
Translations and certificates
A sworn translation can only be made by an accredited translator entered on the Ministry of Justice list. We arrange the translation through such a translator, an apostille, criminal record certificates and certificates of no arrears.
What we do not do
We are an accounting bureau, not a law firm. We do not represent clients in court, do not take disputes with the authorities to court and do not give tax advice. If your case needs a lawyer or a tax adviser, we will say so at the first conversation, not after payment.
Where to start
Message us and describe your situation in two sentences. We will tell you what to do next and what it will cost. If it turns out you do not need our help, we will say so.
We are the Polish practice of the MK Audit international audit and accounting group, in audit and accounting since 2000. We work online across Poland and meet in person in Warsaw.
Tell us which document you need and on what basis you are in Poland, and we will draw up a list for your case.
